Italo José Vasconcelos was born in Fortaleza, state of Ceara, Brazil. Coming from a family of amateur musicians where his Father played the Guitar and his Mother played accordion, he grew up listening and playing Brazilian folk music Choro and Samba. Italo began his professional career in the 90`s as a teenager playing electric Guitar in Reggae bands in Fortaleza as a freelancer Guitarist.

Spain: He Lived in Spain for a few years were he had the opportunity to listen to performances of "Gitano" players in the City of Oviedo, as well as to play and learn the different techniques of Guitar playing. The time in Spain was essential for the development of the forgotten passion for Choro. After all he had had a love for folk music for a long time especially Choro Guitar playing. After his time in Spain, he moved to Finland and met the Great saxophonist and singer Terry De Coteau from Trinidad and Tobago with whom he started playing Bossa Nova and Jazz as well as Calypso Samba fusion style. The time with the Great man was fundamental for the development of the accompanying Guitar styles as well as a sedimentation for Italo`s professional career.

After touring with Terry in Europe in 2010 Italo decided to return to Brazil to work with the highly acclaimed Guitar professor Rogèrio Lima from Tocata Fortaleza, the two men are working on new songs.

Guitar: José uses a Rozini 7 string professional Guitar hand made in Brazil.
